EDDIE FESTA (Retired; Consultant)

Mr. Festa served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1969 before going on to attain 38 years experience in the Geotechnical field, including 36 years in the City of Los Angeles and three years as a Deputy Grading Inspector. He has extensive experience in deep shoring, soldier pile installation, drilled, cast-in-place, end-bearing, and skin friction caisson foundations, flatland mass grading inspection and testing, roadway construction utility installation and backfill, erosion control inspection, subdrain installation, buttress construction hillside subdivision grading, grading and shoring for large commercial sites with associated laboratory testing. Mr. Festa has also performed specialized geotechnical inspection and testing services associated with crib wall construction, evergreen wall construction, pressure grouting, soil/cement stabilization, slot-cut removal and recompaction, tie-back stabilization, and post-tensioned foundations. Chief projects have included the Pasadena Civic Center, Cal-Mart in downtown Los Angeles, and numerous other sites throughout Southern California.

 

 

OBAIDULLA “SMILEY” HOTAKI (Retired; Deputy Grading Inspector)

Mr. Hotaki has over 39 years experience in geotechnical inspection and testing –  Including 14 years as a City of Los Angeles Deputy Grading Inspector. He is also certified to operate and perform Nuclear gauge testing. His inspection experience includes drilled, cast-in-place, end-bearing, and skin friction caisson foundations, hillside and flatland mass grading inspection/testing, roadway construction, utility installation, backfill, erosion control inspection, subdrain installation, buttress construction, hillside subdivision grading, grading and shoring for large commercial sites, associated laboratory testing. He is also highly skilled at the specialized geotechnical inspection and testing services associated with cribwall construction, slot-cut removal and recompaction, geo-textile slope stabilization, dam site selection/inspection, and soil/cement stabilization.

Mr. Soleimanian has many years experience in geotechnical inspection and testing and is currently certified as a City of Los Angeles Deputy Grading Inspector. ROBERT WRIGHT (Inspector/Technician Supervisor, Deputy Grading Inspector / ICC Soils Special Inspector, Server Administrator, Office IT)

Mr. Wright has worked since 1989 in geotechnical inspection and has been with Geosoils since 1998. Robert is currently Certified as a Deputy Grading Inspector for the City of Los Angeles and is certified and currently registered with the International Code Council as a Soils Special Inspector. He is also certified to operate and perform Nuclear gauge testing. He has  experience in deep shoring, soldier pile installation, drilled, driven, cast-in-place, flatland mass grading inspection and testing, roadway construction utility installation and back-fill, erosion control inspection, subdrain installation, buttress construction hillside subdivision grading, grading and shoring for large commercial sites, cribwall construction, pressure grouting, soil/cement stabilization, slot-cut removal and recompaction, tie-back stabilization, and post-tensioned foundations. Linda Theodosiou (Senior Field Technician / ICC Soils Special Inspector / Staff Geoligist)

She is also certified to operate and perform Nuclear gauge testing. Tina Martin (Senior Field Technician)

Ms. Martin has worked since 2006 in geotechnical inspection and testing with Geosoils. She is also certified to operate and perform Nuclear gauge testing. Her inspection experience includes hillside and flatland mass grading inspection/testing, roadway construction, utility installation, backfill,  subdrain installation, buttress construction and some associated laboratory testing.

 

Robert Castellanos (Field Technician)

Mr. Castilliano has worked since 2013 in geotechnical inspection and testing with Geosoils. He is also certified to operate and perform Nuclear gauge testing. His inspection experience includes hillside and flatland mass grading inspection/testing, roadway and hardscape construction, utility installation, backfill,  subdrain installation, buttress construction and some associated laboratory testing.

 

Eric Gallardo (Field Technician)

Mr. Gallardo has worked since 2015 in geotechnical inspection and testing with Geosoils. He is also certified to operate and perform Nuclear gauge testing. His inspection experience includes hillside and flatland mass grading inspection/testing, roadway and hardscape construction, utility installation, backfill and some associated laboratory testing.

 

Ramses Putnam (Field Technician)

Mr. Putnam has worked since 2015 in geotechnical inspection and testing with Geosoils. He is also certified to operate and perform Nuclear gauge testing. His inspection experience includes hillside and flatland mass grading inspection/testing, roadway construction, utility installation, backfill and some associated laboratory testing.
